Review: Ringer (Pics Included!!!)

§  Book Title: Ringer

§  Release Date: March 18th 2014

§  Genre: Contemporary New Adult

Description Provided by Goodreads:
They say it’s the quiet ones you have to worry about, and she was quiet, very quiet—when she wasn’t busy despising me with a burning passion.
Ringo ‘Ringer’ James has a no-strings-attached policy.
Love them, leave them, and remain the eternal bachelor.
After a summer in which every one of his mates has succumbed to settling down, or so it seemed, Ringer is on the lookout for a quick exit. Having had enough of the stomach-turning love fest witnessed over the past three months, Ringer jumps at the opportunity to help out his mate, Max, by heading to Max’s dad’s property for a working holiday.
It’s just what he’s looking for. A remote, dusty homestead in Ballan, with only hard work, a cold beer and a comfy bed to worry about – no women.
Until Miranda Henry.
The privately educated daughter of his boss has returned home from overseas and things are about to get very complicated, very fast. As summer draws to its end, Ringer is about to learn that sometimes attraction defies all logic, and that there really is such a thing as ‘enemies with benefits.’

"Ringer is Book #4 in C.J’s mature young adult SUMMER SERIES, a series filled with intoxicatingly sweet romances and addictive, swoon worthy characters. The Summer Series is set in Onslow and it is here where you will meet the ruggedly handsome Onslow Boys - a group of men SO HOT in appearance and so likable in personality that’ll leave you craving MORE. Now imagine that, set it against a sizzling hot Australian background, fill it with good old Australian humour and there you have the Summer Series!"

I'm super excited to share this book with all of you!!! I had so much fun reading it and getting to know Ringer better!! So before the review, I just wanted to introduce you all to the one and only Ringer!!!
And because I couldn't choose and just show ONE picture here's another favorite one of mine (heheh!!!)
And now for the review:

Story Line: This story line was nothing like I excepted. I loved that it kept me guessing about what was to come next! While I wouldn't say that the story line was necessarily suspenseful, I do admit that it kept me reading, waiting, and guessing about the next part of the story. The dynamic characters just added an extra layer of awesomeness to this story line that made it irresistible to put down!!!

Writing: The writing was really different from the previous book, That One Summer, that I had read by C.J Duggan and I enjoyed that. This book had a more mischievous quality to it because of the completely different characters. Plus there were more descriptive and intense eyes stares, which had me fangirling super duper much lol!!! In some of Miranda's scenes, the writing transcended from the pages so that it made me experience her angst, sadness, and anger toward her family and herself.

Relationship: Ringer and Miranda's relationship is almost like a love/hate relationship. At certain points in the book they almost want to kill each other but at other times they want nothing else but just be with each other! They definitely balance each other out perfectly and they keep each other on their toes with their witty and flirtatious banter!! I loved seeing their relationship transform and especially loved the unexpectedness of it, it's almost like it snuck up on them.

Characters:
Miranda: Miranda is haunted by her claustrophobic past in her small hometown. After being tricked into returning (involving an accident along with way) she's forced to face her demons that have made her closed off from her family. I enjoyed reading about her transformation throughout the book, she really shows a lot of growth and maturity near the end. I also loved her attitude, it's very much take-no-prisoners but with a twist of humor!

Ringer: Ringer just wants to get away from all the love going around so he decides to head to a ranch almost in the middle of no where. He definitely never expected to meet Miranda, which is why seeing him interact with her is so awesome! I loved seeing Ringer open up more and actually experience the love of someone (super sweet!!) Plus he has many unexpected scenes that involve him being wet and most likely without a shirt on :P

Overall: I absolutely loved this book!! I just can't get enough the these Onslow boys! The characters were very entertaining with their banter and I loved the fact that the other Onslow boys made a special guest appearance (like Chris!!). It's a fast, fun, and easy read that will keep you wanting to read more and more until before you know it you'll be done with the book!

Rating: I would give this book a 10 out of 10!!!

And if all that didn't make you want to buy the books then maybe this will
hehehe ;)
